In life, patterns exist which are formed by contrasts. When there is light, there is darkness. When there is Yin, there is Yang. 

 

Activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, and walking are considered Yang practices. Often times, we do not pay attention to the Yin aspects of our lives, and this causes an imbalance between Yin and Yang. This results in disharmony and the body starts to suffer. Our shoulders get tight, our posture becomes bad, we feel more pain in our joints.

 

Tonsai Yoga offers Yin classes that help restore this balance. These classes work on relaxing the body and the mind, by using passive poses that deeply stretch the muscles and more. Yin yoga is the perfect complement for Yang practices.
